@darlicious you could've just used a regular tripod. all you had to do was purchase a mount kit for a phone. there are tons of them on Amazon. just type in tripod mount for phone

Picked up the new tripod at the same time as returning the crap one. Both were on sale for the same price but a world of difference!

London Drugs didn't have the tripod I wanted the I bought was a piece of crap I ordered the one I wanted online from the same store it's ready for pick up go figure I'm returning the crap. So thru some trial and error I did manage to get a few decent shots with astrophotography enabled.

So I did some testing last night but without a tripod. Going to pick one up shortly. Really pleased with night sight used in the right conditions.

if there's is too much light those won't work.
also try cstarks version of the app. it has a lot of power features unlocked.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/gcam-camera-px-for-google-pixel-1-2-3-3a-4.3875663/
you will need to enable the permissions to install apks from chrome. a pop up notification should come up... then google how to re-enable it.

try using nightsight on a tripod. then you'll see what it can really do!
wait for astrophotography mode to enable before snapping a pic

Lol.....in a way I thought it was obvious since I only just started uploading photos from my camera's sd cards. But these are the camera where as everything else in this thread has been from a phone's camera.
These and the comparitive photos earlier in this thread are the Northumberland Strait near Antigonish N.S. I have a a half dozen or so kingston 32gb micro sd cards that I intended to transfer to but am finding my penchant for photography and the limitations of my tablet are creating a bigger problem than I anticipated......let alone what I do with the sony memorex cards?!! There is already 115,000 photos and counting.....like check out this sunset from Winnipeg also with the phone's version earlier in this thread....

@darlicious sorry.. i am lost... which one is from the 2014 phone? or you try to ask me to guess?
08-03-2021 01:24 PM
Is that Stanley Park, UBC or West Vancouver.
I would suggest you pickup a Kingston 128gb MicroSD Canvas Select plus card from Visions Electronics or a Team Elite Group 128gb MicroSD card from Canada Computers. Both are $15…the Kingston is V10 and the TEG is V30.

And you might get a kick out this one and the last one....so same day, same beach, same fujifilm camera, different phone my late partners LG that just up and the screen died but had a pretty good camera for a 2014(?) phone.....so compare this.....
and this......

I found this kind of interesting as I am uploading photos from sd cards snd now fully understanding the giant flaw in my plan.....The intention was ti put it back on micro sd cards but its currently being backed up to my google account which won't last very long with a full 16gb sd card.....and that's only one! I have to rethink this.....anyways check out this from earlier in the thread....
....compared to this....
