Also, whichever company that buys Freedom Mobile, most likely Quebecer, would need to be in it for the long term.

Taking Freedom out of the equation, Rogers cable is getting too big. Instead Shaw and Telus competing for ISP and TV business in the West, It will be Rogers and Telus after the merger. Just my 2 cents... Rogers is getting too big.

Apparently it isn't enough to sell Freedom mobile because Shaw mobile is also considered key to lowering cell prices since it has bundle plans with internet and home phone with lower priced cell plans.

@hTideGnow I don't the deal is dead, just delayed for now. Although, not sure why it's taken the competition bureau this long to make an objection.
