Why does P.M only have Plans @ 3G speed? wouldn't 4G be better??. I'd pay the extra charge

It comes down to plan pricing.

Because Canadian carriers can sell speed at a premium. If you want more speed, you gotta move up the food chain to Koodo or Telus.

@savoie : Their two main competitors are also at so-called 3G speed. If you wish to pay more then move on up to Koodo if you like.

@savoie 3G speed is still on 4G/LTE 🙂
By 3G speed, they meant you can use the LTE network but the speed is capped at 3Mbps. However, if you move it down to 3G network, it is full 3G speed, which could be as much as 12Mpbs
PM is a tier 3 service, offering slightly cheaper price than other Tier 2 or Tier 1 services, like Koodo or Telus. So to make it differs from its big brothers, they have slightly slower plan

@savoie Public Mobile is a 3rd tier provider. They are owned by Telus who also owns Koodo. Koodo has 4g. They are not going to offer the best on 3rd tier provider.
Public Mobile is in fact 4g but it's throttled to 3g speeds.
