Link from where I found it. https://mobilesyrup.com/2024/01/18/bell-the-source-best-buy-express-rebrand-canada/
Edit: Official Best Buy Blog: https://blog.bestbuy.ca/best-buy/announcing-best-buy-express-more-stores-closer-to-more-canadians?ic...
Best Buy and Bell made a deal to convert (Rebrand) over half of the stores to Best Buy Express locations. The rest of them will be permanently closed. They are not similar to Best Buy Mobile locations, as The Best Buy Express locations are going to have the same staff, just a little bit different variety and they'll have a mobile section, but just with Bell, Virgin Plus, and Lucky Mobile services.
They are not currently saying what stores are rebranding or closing, but by Q2 2024 comes by, they'll start converting and telling customers of those stores that store that they are in is closing permanently.

@abtest - Yes, the source was an amazing store which was sort of the last of the RadioShackish in Canada. Sad to see them go, but I forgot to add this on, but Best Buy already owns "Best Buy Express" Locations which are vending machines in some large airports with chargers and headphones.

So we'll have even less competition for electronics. Great 😞

@Sansan - Yes, they are basically just everything technology. 10 Years ago there was Future Shop but all either got moved to become a Best Buy location and the existing Future Shop Location got closed, or that store got converted. There are some small stores but the only place I go to is the source. Sad to see the brand go.

10 years ago best buy was good place to shop. Now, not so appealing to me anymore.
