Telus Mobility has just gotten a letter from the CRTC (Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission) asking for the use of their towers in order to do an MVNO Expansion for Quebecor's brands (Freedom Mobile, Videotron, Fizz.) Public Mobile is owned by TELUS and uses Bell & TELUS Towers.
Rogers & Bell were already sent the letter and accepted, but TELUS is currently in an argument of things, but luckily you can use Freedom if you have a Bell or Rogers tower nearby. (Telus, Bell, Rogers, and Sasktel are Nationwide Providers for 'Normal' Freedom.) Freedom Mobile and Fizz Mobile are expanding through this MVNO expansion, where places that aren't on Freedom's Network or Videotron's network use the Big 3. They currently display 'Nationwide' but there are locations of no Freedom / Fizz service where you can get Freedom & Fizz now.
I am not dissing any company, but Freedom Mobile does have a GREAT OFFER that may appeal to me & to others.

@Handy1 - I am planning to go to Freedom Mobile as my next one also just since it has US Roaming. The only thing is with being with Telus / Virgin / PM. It also seems beneficial to have Rogers on the list when there is No Service on Bell.

@hTideGnow I did and I’m not going to give up this one line with PM because it’s so cheap right now for me . But yes I’ll jump ship again for better deal with freedom if the coverage improves and turns out to be better then what the big 3 can offer by using the big 3s towers . And as you said that’s great for us maybe not for business such as the big 3 but if they were not so greedy there would be no footing for freedom mobile to be exploding on the scene as they are . They seem genuinely less greedy and willing to pass on the saving to the customer makes handy happy and smile 😊

hi @Handy1 I thought you signed up a great family plan with Telus.
And you are willing to give up your tones of monthly referrals??

@fixin That’s great I might become freedom mobile subscriber before long then . And they have the very best of plans then the big 3 and if Telus loses that arm wrestle . Then freedom will have the best coverage of the big 3 having to use Telus bell and rogers towers . As it stands now pm Koodo and Telus only use theirs and bells towers so this looking good thanks for sharing the future is exciting:)
