Are you asking about all the hoop you have to just through to get into your account when you didn’t make notes about your email address & password to login?
Since PM is an online service, it is necessary to prevent SIM swapping.

Why is what necessary? This community? It's a community of fellow customers that can help their fellow customers with their service or device. Account and internal system issues will be done by the company support people. This community can help direct fellow customers when support is needed.
