About a year ago I was reading an article that basically mentioned that "Google" was going to launch free calling via Wifi. I wish that happened. Zoooom that would make my day.

It hasn't launched here yet, however those who have it, can roam in Canada.

@talkalot I'm not sure about free, but they do have Project Fi in the US, which I believe is an inexpensive Wi-Fi augmented service. However, they have not launched it in Canada (yet?).

Two such services: fongo.com and Google Hangouts. Free calling in Canada on Fongo; N.A. on Hangouts.

Isn't that availiable already? There's calling feature in whatsapp or other voip apps. You can call via wifi or data.
