My OS is Android 8.1. I have the Outlook Lite app set up to send notifications when I get a new email. A notification shows up on my home screen and a sound is played. If I don't notice the notification and don't look at my phone for a while, the notification disappears and leaves me not knowing that there was a notification. Are notifications automatically deleted after a specific period of time? Can notifications be set to not be deleted automatically?

I've seen references before to notification history but I cannot find that on my phone. Maybe that feature did not yet exist on my older operating system.

@Fred829 It appears to be a common question on other forums with Samsung phones, one suggestion is to go to Settings, Notifications, Advanced and make sure notification history is turned on. Then at least you can see the notifications.

This is your phone's feature. Nothing to do with PM service.
Notifications on S10 stay until I tap dismiss (could be hours and hours).

@Fred829 This would be a setting in your phone, what Android phone do you have?
