Texts arent free at any carrier, they are only free if they bundle it with something else. Both rogers and fido have plans for $15 that include unlimited text and thats all. Youll have to pay per min using pay as you go cards if you want talk on those plans. I found these in under 30 seconds by googleing it... Its on the Costco website for ontario.
* if you choose all three services, that is. If you look at any Talk+Data plan, literally ANY that PM offers today, and you add global texting in the plan tool, you will notice that the plan is exactly the same price with or without the texting.
I know this doesn't help people that only want talk and text like @LouiseVestegaar. Unfortunately, you can't please all the people all the time, and @Rockdaddy22 has nailed it that the best value is from the pick-3 plans at PM.
