Has Public Mobile ever considered pay-per-use rate that Public Mobile customers can  use their phone outside of coverage area.

For example, if I go to the State's for the day I would like to see a  pay-per-use rate.  What I mean is  instead of buying a 10 day package I would like to see a section where I can add money/extra funds to my account (separate from my monthly bill) for example, lets call it  pay-per-use rate or prepaid service so when a I or other Public Mobile customer goes to the State's just for the day they can use their phones to make recieve a call or text and use data and get charged for the minutes they use.

There is no pay per use Rate this is a prepaid service so an addon would need to be purchased.  I think your idea would be better if you asked for 1 day or 3 day US addon.  You really just want to be able to purchase a smaller addon period correct?  You can't have money just sitting in the available funds or an area separate from your monthly cost and just have it taken out when you "roam" to the US.  You MUST have purchased an addon to get service that is just how Prepaid works

Public used to have pay per use rates but that was a long time ago. Telus killed it off so I am doubtful they would ever bring it back.

Like @ShawnC13 said, more flexible durations would be very similar to pay per use for most scenarios and is well within their ability to offer.  Whether or not they ever do is another question entirely.

Sadly, I don't see any further flexibility happening any time soon. I had asked for the flexibility to future date the start of the current 10 day plans and that hasn't even materialized.

@will13am you and half the community!  It seems like such a no-brainer to offer.  But if I've learned anything in my 2 years as PM customer, it's that you really can't count on the no-brainer stuff.  There's an orchard worth of low-hanging fruit that continues to rot on the tree, making this forrest far less attractive than it should be!

Wow, nice metaphor @srlawren 😉

Either the uptake for US roaming service is really low or there's no wringable neck that is tasked with making this kind of stuff happen.  @Someone_here, please rate my metaphor.

@will13am hard to gauge eh?  Though, based on the number of people posting here asking about it and/or having problems with actually using it, I'm going to guess it's "relatively" popular.  I myself have used it probably.... well I guess 3 or 4 times at least.  Used it on trips to Manhattan and Portland (Oregon) this year, and I think my Vegas trip at the start of the year as well, plus at least one last year so yeah I guess 4ish times.  I tend to use Roam Mobility for day trips or weekend away in Seattle and PM for trips of 4+ days I guess.  Personally.  Not that I'm any sort of representative sample, of course.  We're all unique snowflakes.  😉

I guess the best case scenario for me would be

1. to be able to buy the roaming add-on in advance

2. to be able to stack them

3. to have 1 day option.

I'm regularly (almost every week) going to the US 1 day at the time, and a never bother buying the 10 days add-on... But if there were a 1 day option that I could buy in advance, leave them stacked on my account like international minutes, and activate them simply by using my phone in the US without having to think about it, that would be truly awesome.
