how much will the need to pay in staffing costs, rent, commissions etc...
we are lucky sims only cost 5$ other carriers charge more and have started to increase their activation price.
The model works. however i just saw chatr being sold at rogers stores which i believe is something new... but i dont think you will find PM sims at a Koodo or telus store anytime soon...
They did have this during the fall promo in some major cities. I don't see this as a thing that will happen. It may cost them more to send them out but it would be even more to hae a store front or even rent retail space.

During the fall promo, it was just one or two PM staffers with orange capes and a satchel full of SIMs standing at the curb outside each of the Telus offices in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Because Telus wouldn't let them stand inside even when it was cold and windy. That's what I saw in Toronto, at least.
When I first signed up on a 10-day trial, the sim was completely free, sent by regular postal service letter mail. That was awesome.
Now, it's a $5 charge, which is reasonable, but the express shipping (also provided by Canada Post) is more expensive for PM, tracking numbers are not provided, and sims seem to get lost in the system all the time.
Yes, I'd like to see pickup locations and/or retail outlets selling the sims, but anything more than what we have now will be a cost we the users would have to cover through potential fee increases.
I second this, just sell the SIMs where vouchers are sold. Very easy for PM to implement, most cost effective than express mailing each SIM individually, and potential customers could have quicker access to SIMs if they need one.
