The 3G in my opinion should NOT have the 90 Days Term Attachment, OR, If 90 Days Term Included, Create Zones like Chatr, Freedom, Just more Robust and bigger in MANY Key Areas, and Perhaps then increase speeds from that Horrific 2MB to perhaps 8MB, to be fair, and to foster Fairness, Squareness, and loving tender care

If PM were to OFFER More Services and Features, Then the Fee increase maybe Justified, Just how much should be a fair Trade

The additonal Services I Think that PM should impliment to Justify the increases MUST Be:

Global Roaming, TRUE Global Roaming

Increase of how many Countries PM Clients cal call under the International L-D Add-On

PM App so PPL can manage their A/C more effectively

Multiple A/C Under Single Email

Option to put A/C on Vacation Mode when PPL go on Extended Vaction to avoid losing their A/C and all info, For a Fair Minimal Fee

Taking ALL the BEST Parts of Postpaid, BUT Making them Prepaid and UNDER a Do It Yourself Interface

Personally, In my OWN Opinion, I think that the CRTC should in any sense, Render 2 Tier Systems like HOW PM is doing to be like how they RULED on Videotron's Unlimited Music, Just that for this, having a 2 Tier System, make it UNACCEPTABLE and a Violation of Consumers rights and making it too confusing, and Consummer UnFriendly

Personally, I think PM should have focused on the 4G Plans, and making it more Robust, and way Friendlier, and adding MORE Options, Longer Terms, and such.

This would have made PM more like paradise, and more Appealing to the Public Masses

This 3G Offering is like Gordon Ramsay offering Old Risotto, which is NOT good

Or, Like buying a New House that was built with Cheap Material BUT Over-Charging 

Not trying to put PM Down, I know that they're trying, I must at least commend them for the effort

Just this being what it is, Many PPL might Believe PM is walking off into the Sunset, closing it's doors, turning off the Lights, Shutting Down the HSPA+ 4G, saying Adios, Forever

This will fall on deaf ears.  I am sure that a lot of bean counting was done to assess the effects of the new plan and in particular the strategy to compete with chatr.  Previously, Public Mobile was competing with no one as there was no equal in terms of having no stores, no call centre. 

To flog 3G data when it is well known that LTE is so much more efficient says it all about how greed stands out on top of everything else.  My internet modem is docsis 3.0 and my carrier is pushing me hard to upgrade to their 3.1 hardware to reduce inefficiencies on the network.  Here, customers are offered to be less efficient and get more data.  It goes to show how much excess wireless capacity there is in the system.  This reinforces my belief that bandwidth is super cheap.  If it was truly expensive as the carriers would have us believe, then they would want to deliver every byte to us as efficiently as possible.

Rather than tell them how to revise the plans, the best approach for customers is to not buy into the current ones.

Believe me I am vocal as any about this new change in direction. I will stop short of telling them exactly how to price plans. That's micro management that will be ignored. Keep the discussion higher level.

By the way, the CRTC is counter productive.  It seems every effort they make to help the customer ends up having an opposite effect.  You can't enforce competition.

Honestly, I'd have no issues with the new 3G only plans if:

1. They were cheaper than the original LTE plans.

2. They weren't throttled to 2.5Mbps (instead, just use the H+ speeds of around 3-6Mbps).

3. They offered a solid amount of bonus data as (at the very least) a limited time offer.

A price hike on the LTE plans is somewhat understandable, but certainly not the 50% increase from some of the old plans. Maybe $5 or $10 a month for the 6GB/90 day plan, but not $20.

At this point, if you want a more progressive mobile carrier now, you'll have to go to Freedom. They are actually investing heavily in their network, and their Canada-wide plans are rather enticing over the current Public LTE plans (the Freedom Canada-wide plans allow for LTE off partner networks in "away" zones, and seamless US roaming). Of course, the main downside of Freedom is the band 66 LTE in some of their major markets (phones with this band are few and far between).

Actually, the Price hikes is like $60 on Average, That's more than what I can consider fair. $5-$10 increase, Perhaps, BUT over that, PM needs to Properly justify that, More options, More Services, NOT Less 4 Less

Old 6GB/90 day LTE plan: $120 / 3 = $40

New 6GB/90 day LTE plan: $180 / 3 = $60
