Timing for Start of US Addons

There is insufficient information in the plan webpage on how the US addons are timed.  Some clarity on the timing would be useful.  For example, does a 10 day addon provide 24*10=240 hour window of usage based on actual timing of purchase or is it rounded up/down by start of day at 00:00?  Also, it would be useful if there was an option to prepurchase the addon and specify a future time/day for start of the addon (something reasonable like 2-3 days in the future).  This will really help travellers who are juggling enough things on their mind on travel day to not need to worry about buying an addon for the phone plan.

Publics system has always used midnight (eastern time) as the cutoff

So in bad examples, if you are travelling from Vancouver to Seattle for a shopping trip your add on ends 3 hours early

Agreed with @kav2001c, it's effectively rounded down by truncating at midnight EST on the 10th day, regardless of the time of day you purchased the add-on on day 1.  Also, as has been requested many times, it would sure be nice to be able to future-date these to start later.  If not at a particular time, then at least at 12:01 AM EST on a date of our choosing would sure be helpful.

I didn't know about the time zone cutoff. That's interesting.
