I think the right to give kudos/bravos should be restricted to members only. Guests could then only post questions and comments. This is to reduce the tempation to game the Community Reward system as seems to have happened a few times.
I think it is a good idea to terminate guest bravo privileges to prevent people from "gaming" the system.
Last week I got a Private Message from Shazia sort of accusing me of trying to "game" the system because two other members of my household bravoed my posts. The reality is, that both of them are public mobile subscribers and have their own independent Accounts. I guess the system, is setup to flag Bravo's from multiple accounts with the same IP address. This won't really work since one IP address does not necessarily correspond to one individual.
There was a week or 2 when I kinda became active on the forums more.. just because I had some issues and I was on here trying to resolve my issues and saw other people with some issues that I had the solution for. i.e. changing iphone voicemail access number etc.
I havent really been as active recently anyway.
Though I think "bravos" are probably relevant --> "solutions" are probably a better indicator of contribution level -- perhaps.. I dont know.
@geogolem There is a really easy bug to game solutions also, I am surprised it has remained open as long as it has. I won't post specifics to encourage certain people but you can game this by yourself, you do NOT need to create a second account.
So even if we terminate guest rights you could still have another avenue to boost your stats.
@kav2001c I have an idea perhaps what you are takling about because I think I came across it once althought I dont think the person did it on purpose. Basically a new Public Mobile customer had some issues. I posted the solution to the problem pretty clearly but for some reason that person did not seem to fully comprehend the solution. They posted explaining that it didnt work or something, but then in the next post reposted exactly what I posted. They then accepted their own post as the solution. LOL.. Anyway, it didnt bother me too much because I think it was just the person trying to figure out the problem and perhaps didnt read what I posted properly but was directed towards and eventually stumbled on the solution themselves. I dont know. but I thinki what you are referring to is as simple as creating a discussion and then accepting one's own post as the solution.. lol.. I havent really been on the forums much anyway recently -- but ya I suppose the solutions need to somewhat be "policed" too.
