How about the creation of a new sub forum somewhere with random threads about everyday topics?

Somewhere to chat and get to know the community better, in a place where posts are unrelated to fixing problems and peoples complaints!

From a rewards perspective could even be excluded to maintin the legitimacy of people who post to help out the community.

Just a thought, and apologies if this has been suggested, I took a quick check through and couldn't find anything.

The only problem with that is that "anything goes" type forums sometimes require a fair amount of moderation to keep things civil (because internet + anonymity = troll city).  And the mods shouldn't have to deal with that on top of fixing people's actual problems, IMO.
