Good Citizen / Bon Citoyen

Signing up with Public Mobile requires you to create 3 online accounts which is very annoying.

  • I had to create an account with Shopify to order the SIM.
  • I had to create an account with Public Mobile to register and activate my SIM
  • I had to create an account to participate in the community forums.

Some (or preferabbly, all) of these should be combined into one account.

Mayor / Maire

I wholeheartedly agree with that. Multi counts under single Email for efficient account management

New in Town / Nouveau en Ville

Yes, I agree with this too.

Please !

I agree, great Idea!

Model Citizen / Citoyen Modèle

I have multiple public mobile lines and I would like to use a single login to view self serve for both accounts.....can we try to make that possible as well?

Great Neighbour / Super Voisin

Sounds like a great idea...except if you're a returning user with a new SIM like could get brick walled out of EVERYTHING.

-I've tried EVERY available option to get access to my account in order to make payment including phone conversations with techs at both PM and Telus....Error messages on every browser no matter what you do.

Due to the nature of admonishing, yet infantile customer service and lacklustre technical support Telus is providing for a company they now own, I suspect they will be phasing out the PM brand.

There is no excuse for a company not to allow PM to have a database containing account information for customer care reps to use in assisting paying customers as Self-pay has been broken for weeks....and not a single soul is doing a thing about it.

Public mobile's directory for sales locations they have listed in Red Deer Alberta do NOT EVEN CARRY PUBLIC MOBILE VOUCHERS....I have called all of them and they don't even know what the hell Public Mobile is.

Suffice to say, the grease in the hamster wheel they've had me running on for the last week is beginning to stink, and although I've offered to pay by credit card over A PUBLIC MOBILE SIM THEY ACTIVATED-they STILL can't find the account info related to the SIM in order complete the transaction on their own system!!!So I finally I asked, "what in the world is that?"

Just a tidbit from our conversation today:

ME-My phone is already on and has been for almost a month, and I'm just trying to make a payment over the phone. It is currently utilizing the very SIM you activated for me online a month ago...and I've been trying to pay online for a WEEK!!!

THEM-"We are terribly sorry sir, we don't know what to do....we can't see your account information on our computers from the phone you are calling us from."

ME- So you can't take my money over the phone and my service just goes off tomorrow?

THEM- "We understand that you are frustrated and we are sorry sir....we don't know what to do."

Meh.....I blame TELUS!!!

I recorded the conversations with both Telus and Public Mobile just for comedy's sake...I will be posting a link as soon as I convert the .ogg files.

-here are a couple of screenshots from my week in tech support HELL.

Town Hero / Héro de la Ville

100% agree with this one.

My Lastpass app was freaking out when I tried to register another account for the same site ( same domain, different subdomain, I get it, but lastpass didnt )

Anyways, it should be 1 account for everything.

Mayor / Maire

Hi @Cookin,

Thanks for your idea! Our team agrees that having to create multiple accounts is not ideal. Single sign on capability is something our team is working on delivering for our customers, however it’s not on our timeline for the next few months or more.
