Hello:

1) The setup for a PM client Community  member should be part of the User's account setup.  Then there is only one PM password to remember.  It is not User friendly to treat the Community forums as a separate enitity except for a Community User name (i.e. not show the User's real name) for PM clients.

2) If the intent is to allow non-PM clients (prospective client) the ability to ask questions via PM Commuity forums prior to their decision to go with PM then they could be flagged as non-PM clients. If they become a PM Client then their Community user name (non-PM Client) could be linked to their PM-Client account when they setup their PM client account since their email used during the non-PM client could be the link between the two.  Alternatively they could just select a new Community user name.

3)  It is highly doubltful that any non-PM client would be a continuous PM Community forum member.  So the focus should be making it simple for PM-Clients.

Cheers

It is the users choice to sign up or to not sign up, and it only a few more clicks to create a community account. It is a public fourm. You do not need a number or an account to join and who says you cant use the same password (yes its not recommended, but its up to the user). Im sure not many people would be interested to know someone's real name either as this isnt facebook. Every fourm (Rogers and Koodo for example) are username based. Also from what I've seen, most new users identify themselves as potential users and just ask questions first.

Yes the process should be streamlined, but really when its only two more clicks to create an account its just as easy. Also a security concern if its the same password. If they know your account password, then they can log into your account and make changes and do what they please. It makes more sense to link them separately for security reasons. The setup should at least direct you to the community set up page. Not to put down your idea entirely. But for secruity reasons i can see the merger not really happening, but they should at least be directed to the community setup because everything is community based from now on

Even better would be to create a community account by default for all PM users and then to allow others to just participate as guests without needing to sign up. This would likely increase their likelihood to ask questions --- few people will want to create an account just to ask a question.

This guest option is especially crucial since Public Mobile is getting rid of contact through social media.

Another issue is that the two systems are seperate programs. Who knows if they share the same database.

I would rather they spend money fixing the portal issues and make user experiece better for new clients. The first thing someone posts should not be help my phone doesn't work.
