I know someone has obviously already suggested an app but I was thinking of a really useful feature. For example, on the 3-month plan, with 12Gbs of data (it could work with all of the plans):

  • a clear visual breakdown of the data you used each month so that you can tell how you decided it up within the three months
  • another visual breakdown of how many minutes were used
  • there could also be a section at the bottom (or top) that shows the total amount of data/minutes you have left.

I think these features would be very intuitive versus other similar apps from competing wireless companies and would make it incredibly user friendly experience.

@srlawren @will13am ok awesome that looks promising and do you know if it lets you see a breakdown such as:

Month 1: 3.5gb

Month 2: 6.5gb

Month 3: 2gb

or if it just shows you the how much you have left of the total 12gb?

@srlawren great thanks again for the recommendation and I will try it out 🙂

@alldylallday no worries!  Actually, to be clear, I wasn't necessarily recommending Data Witness for you, simply because it only does data tracking and you were looking for something to track your voice minutes and texts.  I think if you still want that, you might be happier with My Data Manager instead.  Or the other solution, or possibly Call Meter 3G (which I hadn't heard of previously but that doesn't mean it couldn't be something great!) mentioned by @Chicklets

EDIT: @Chicklets no disrespect, but I can't recommend Call Meter 3G after having a quick look at it on the Play Store.  It hasn't been updated in about 16 or 17 months, and even the screen shots are from the KitKat (4.4.x) era (or possibly older).  It's pretty clear this app isn't being actively maintained, and it's unlikely that it's been updated for Nougat (7.x), Mashmallow (6.x) or possibly even Lollipop (5.x) versions of Android.  I personally try to avoid older apps on modern OS versions as they can misbehave or just not take advantage of newer power saving features and so on.  This is just my humble opionion, but I think @alldylallday would be happier with My Data Manager or Data Witness.

@srlawren even though it hasn't been updated, it works perfectly on marshmellow and older versions of android. I am not sure about nougat as I don't have any phones running on it yet. I have tried many others and found it to be the best for customization for any mobile plans that I have had.
