Hi @Jeremy_M@David_J@Brooke_C,

It's become apparent that the Public Lab is no longer being even looked at let alone actioned.  I think it is no longer useful to you and you should close it to stop people form wasting their breath posting new ideas here.

Thanks for your consideration!

Grumpy, or what, eh? Robot LOL

3 weeks away and I'm not as annoyed by these problems; try it, you'll like it!

I am reminded of a friend who desperately wanted to get his great idea onto TV. He finally wrangled an interview with a producer who told him: "That's actually pretty good. Unfortunately, I've no shortage of ideas, but definitely a shortage of implementers.". Robot LOL

@Luddite yes I've turned into a grumpy old man!  Well, okay, in fairness, I've been a grumpy old man since I was a teenager, at least.  But still.  LOL.  Glad you enjoyed your time away!  😄  Did Ralph enjoy the vacation as well?

@srlawren@Luddite(welcome back!) @NDesai @ShawnC13 @mimmo

If I could I would bravo each individual reply where you guys voice your concerns - I might have been here only for something like 8 months but there is definitely a noticeable shift in approach.

One reason that I would like to see the Public Lab locked is the many posts that are not even remotely belonging here, and with that the posting of personal information that can't be taken care of by the oracles (I think I got that right? You guys do an amazing job on that in the rest of the community!!)

I have voiced my opinion about the glitches (and rebuilding the platform from scratch) before and will not repeat myself here. It just feels that with every posted maintenance we have one more hang-up instead of less of them...

@wetcoaster Thanks. Correct, we cannot edit anything in the lab only posts in the forum.

I echo the general sentiment in this thread.  It is rather scary to see the willful indifference displayed towards the sincere efforts from the customer base to make this service better.  What thriving business would display this kind of egregious behavior in the open.  The excuse that there is a lack of resources only go so far.  How hard is it to fix something as simple as the list of retailers carrying vouchers?  Getting this wrong amounts to ensuring many customers won't be able to use this service.  I do honestly worry that this may be an early warning that the sun may be setting soon on this service.  I don't want to see a demise here but if it were to happen, I won't respond with any level of surprise.

I used to love the fact that I could rely on the "take me to the next unread post" ability of the forum.  Since it was fixed, I can no longer do that.

I only saw this post this morning, because I notice it was last updated almost 10 hours ago, and the Public Lab label was not bold anytime sooner this morning.  It wasn't even bold when I came in.

Hey.. .I still can't see the delete button... guess that suggest for the inbox / sent box will be ignored also.

Although I love the celluar service I have, the frustrations of being able to suggest changes for the betterment of all Public Mobile users ... this Lab, and the forum in general are awful.  Online support should work, but if you can't see it, or use it easily... how does that benefit the end user??

I agree that the indifference that appears to be shown by the PM management does make it seem like it is the red-headed step child of the TELUS family that isn't getting the attention it should, even with what I believe is the most active and helpful customer base for a carrier in this country (IMHO).  The valid items that have been brought forward in this Public Lab, for the most part, do seem like rather routine fixes (though I am by no means a web-developer or in IT) that could be addressed in a tenth the amount of the time (or at least not ignored).

I don't want to agree that the "sun appears to be setting" but this does this does seem like a business that is progressing towards shutting it's doors by the indifference shown and the lack of action on issues that are affecting a large number of customers.  This is a fantasic model of service that PM offers, obviously not without its flaws but a little dose action can go a long way to satisfying the customer base here.

I agree whole-heartedly, if ironically this section of the forums, this thread and this post are falling on deaf ears, then at least make this one change and axe the the Public Lab - it gives a false sense of hope.

So what do you guys all say? I am not going to make it to my 2 year loyalty reward? Smiley Frustrated

@ute1978

All fingers crossed that that's not the case - I'm something like a year behind you and I want to get my 1 year (and many more!) loyalty rewards too.... 😉

I think the general sentiment is that there is no point maintaining the lab if the management is not looking at it / doesn't care about any ideas for improvement / is just interested in maintaining the status quo. They don't even seem to grasp the idea that having a solidly built, pretty much flawlessly working back end system will safe them labour cost (=smaller mod team required) in the mid to long term.
