New Feature - Selectable/Flexible 30 days peroid for 90 days plan

Hello,

Just wanted to introduce an idea of selectable/Flexible 30 days period for 90 days plan.

Purpose:

Give users flexibility for selection of their 30 days peroid for the 90 days plan.

How will it work:

-  Just like right now, the user pays for 90 days of service in the begining, but they will be able select when they want their first 30 days of period to start and the next and next. 

- For example, if a user pays for their service on March 15, they can select to start their first 30 days peroid starting from March 20 (ending on April 20) and then next peroid to start from June 7 (ending July 7), third 30 days from September 1 (ending on Oct 1).

This is just an example, the idea is that the user can select 30 days of blocks according to their own needs.

Pros:

- Flexibility for users to select when they want to utilize the service that they have already paid for.

- Will help frequent traveller and people who go on vacations every now and then.

- Will eleminate the whole suspending your account while you are away business.

- Less hassle for Public Mobile staff and mods to deal with account reactivation after they have been suspended.

- Lower usage of Public Mobile resources (mods) = more time for mods to help out other in need = Happy PM staff = Happy customers.

Since Public Mobile is a pre-paid service, this doesn't really change anything for PM since the users will still be paying for their service in advance.

How is this any different from a 30 day plan?  Yes 90 days is a savings tool, but you can already pick your 30 day period with the monthly.  When that plan expires, don't renew, but wait to start it up again in 3 weeks... just need to pay to activate.

Thanks for your feedback.  I am only talking about the 90 days plans.

I think this approach will give more control and flexibility to users to select their own peroid rather than doing the whole letting the plan expire and renew.

I think this is a bad idea for Public Mobile revenue-wise.  It lessens the benefit of encouraging people to choose a 90-day plan.

I am talking about choosing each 30days period within the 90days plan. 

90 days plans are better in terms of pricing so it doesn't lessen the benefit of encouraging people to chose a 90 days plan. It would actually provide more flexibility. 

It doesn't hurt PM since, its pre-paid service.

They would remove the discount you receive from the 90 days and treat it as though its 30 days if they implement that since it'd be same as using 30 days then discontunueing then renewing for 30 days again when you need it. Also there are more then 30 days in a month at times so you will not end up on say july 7th if you start on june 7th.

I would also love this, but unfortunately we can't have everything.  We choose 90 days for the savings, and we know the limitations IE continuous 90 days. If you want 30 day plans then you need to choose the 30 day plans. 

I believe some providers have holding plans (koodo I think) that might be an option for you.

This would surely reduce revenue. We gert a discount for selecting 90 day plans so that is 4 renewals a year plus a few days.  Someone that may only want the phone 6 months of the year spread out would only pay twice and instead of 6 30 day payments which are higher

To have any chance of being considered, there has to be mutual benefit.  This suggestion is weighed all in favor of the customer.

Please think about this suggestion/idea from an open mind. This suggestion this as a new idea, something that may require changing a rules a little bit but it is something that gives more flexibility to the users. 

You will still have to pay PM up front in full for 90 days so that PM still gets their money the same way as they do now.

@Maria, How wyould you know upfront what you want for your 3 - 30 day periods?  Unless you're a seer of the future, you'd have no idea what you'd need.

This would make paying upfront unlikely, as the cost of one package doesn't equal the cost of another.

What you are proposing is exactly why there are 30-day plans.  If you need to change them frequently, it gives you the ability to do so.

The 90-day plans afre for those who can 'live' with a 90 day commitment, and not require the change of plan, and as a result gets the discount pricing of a longer term.
