Remote call forwarding can help to redirect calls when the phone is lost or broken!
You could find another unlocked phone, even a friends. Put your sim in. Set call forwarding *67* etc....
Then take out your sim and give back the phone to your friend. Of course this only works if broken and you still have access to the SIM
