Making the add on process a one step process

Currently, you have to pay into your account and then purchase the add on in a second step which a lot people overlook resulting in confused customers.

PM should just turn this into a one step process where you select the addon and when it takes the payment it adds it to your account automatically.

@srlawren, it is unbelievable that after almost 1 year the original suggestion is still in the new bin.  This one is a no brainer, not like it's going to cost a whole bunch unlike suggestions to offer price reductions for add-on data.

@will13am agreed.  Honestly, I don't think PM really "got" the issue when I talked to them about it.  They didn't seem concerned.

Honestly, if PM is not fixing bugs, it is very unlikely for them to change this in the foreseenable future.

@srlawren, you'd think that the software team would play with their software in a sandbox before roll out so that way they know exactly how things work or don't work. Having said that, I recall that the behavior for add on purchases was different when using mozilla vs chrome. In mozilla, it did not appear as if the process was two step, more like a 1.5 step process. Before we ride the back office too hard here, I recall Wind Mobile's main landing page being broken for the longest time before it received the proper fixes. In internet explorer, it would work fine. In mozilla, it would fail trying to resolve the landing page. A bunch of us reasoned that they were probably using Microsoft front page as the editor which favored IE.

@srlawren, you are correct.  Just place a beta version stamp on it and ship it out the door.

Again, as I’ve said before, not that I agree with it, the system expects funds to be available, prior to purchasing anything.

If you’re going to redirect the customer to add the funds, either tell them to return to the addon and select it again, or complete the purchase of said adddon.
