As an incentive for legacy customers to promote Public Mobile and recruit customers, I think legacy customers moving to any pick and pay plan should be eligible to the Refer-a-Friend rewards "earned" by refering friends (who are still Public Mobile non-legacy customers) while they were on a legacy plan.

(more details here: http://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Rewards/Refer-a-Friend-Reward/m-p/144382 )

I understand that the Refer-a-Friend reward cannot be applied to legacy plans, that are already cheap and a good deal. But why not making it retroactive (like the loyalty reward) as:

1) an incentive to talk about PM to friends/promote PM/recruit customers, and

2) an incentive to eventually change from legacy plan to current plan, which is what PM wants anyways as we have seen with the $3 increase/switch-to-Koodo "promo".

Well it wouldn't be possible anyways, as it currently is setup to not allow a friend reward to be applied, EXCEPT at sign up.

Before you question me or anyone else on this, Just after I joined, a friend tried to reference my ported-in number as his refferal.  It failed, as my number had not yet been added to the 'allowed list of PM Phone numbers' to be recognized as a valid referral.

I reported this to the MODs, and my number then became allowable in the system (after about 2 weeks for the ticket to happen), and after than when I asked for the friend's account to be set accordingly, referencing my original post of the issue, I was informed it can not be added as there is no way to do it, post new registration.

Anyway, the Legacy account holders already know they are on plans that do not allow for rewards (same as a 10-day plan).  Loyality rewards however, I have no problem with Legacy members getting those once they swhitch over (as they do currently), as they were the folks who rode through all the hassles previously.
