Not sure if this has been brought up before. It would be nice if PM considers to provide a higher data plan, say

Existing plan: (Province wide, Unlimited Text)
2Gb/30days, for $ 50 per 30 days or $120/90 days for the 90 days Plan
4Gb/30days, for $ 70 per 30 days or $186/90 days for the 90 days Plan

Proposed plan: (Province wide, Unlimited Text)
6Gb/30days, for $100 per 30 days or $240/90 days for the 90 days Plan
8Gb/30days, for $120 per 30 days or $300/90 days for the 90 days Plan

I talked to a few friends and they are reluctant to switch because the best PM offers at the moment is 4Gb per 30 days or 12 Gb per 90 days. I don't know the PM business on how to price the data plans but I think this will be attractive to the higher data usage users and those who are currently with the Big Three.

It is asked a few times before.  Pretty sure some people want more data than 12GB/90 days.  Or they can simply lower their overage rate after the limit.

@MoreYummy There is no data overage on public mobile. You probably meant data add-on rates.

@NDesai  Yes, I mean the data addon.  Sometimes i mixed PM with other carrier. 🙂

This is a good suggestion. It will help to attract the super heavy user crowd.

Smiley Surprised Looking at those prices... and MAN I love my promo plan!!!!

With that said, I would easily eat through my data allocation if I used my PM phone as my main line.

Thank you for the comments. I am pointing out that at this time, PM's current plans do not appeal to high data usage customers and that's where |PM can generate more revenue. Higer data usage is part of the evolution of technology - now most ISP have offered "unlimited plans" to our home. With the advance in mobile phones, we can do a lot more (FaceTime, Skype and others, streaming music and TV shows, MMS, online games ...), and will chew up large amount of data on a daily basis. I am hopeful PM will at least consider this in their corporate planning strategy and it's just a matter of time that 4Gb or higher as a minimum will be the norm.
