@Luddite I'd suggest you look at using LastPass, 1Password, or Enpass, all of which will allow you to do exactly what you're asking for, on any website (computer or mobile, supporting Chrome, FireFox, IE, Edge, Safari) or mobile app. I personally use and recommend LastPass, but some prefer the other options too.
Yeah I am just not seeing this; why add fingerprints to a software app (which can be EASILY hacked, cmon we all know how quick Public is to update)
Every mid range to high end phone comes with fingerprints these days and Android updates frequently (Apple less frequent, but they seem to have less issues)
