Over the past 30-40 days, I've witnessed in the forums, various regular issues that should not be occurring as frequently as they are.
Plan Changes
I have seen countless community members, myself included, setting up an end of cycle plan change, so many of us have come to our renewal to find with the correct funds available by autopay or voucher loads, etc... simply having the previous plan renewed, and the end of cycle request lost. Due to this system glitch, error, whatever, the forums have been flood with the same requests for the fantastic moderators to assist in fixing the problem. I understand glitches happen, but when I see moderators saying its a known issue day after day for 30-40 days, it tells me the technical people either do not know the system is failing (badly), or they are just ignoring the issue,
Friend Referal failing
ive seen multiple cases for various reasons around the referal program. For instance, my friend attempted to list my phone number as his referal, but the system came back saying my number was not a valid public mobile number. I ported my number in, so it leads me to believe the system is not looking a active accounts for current phone numbers, but rather at a list of numbers updated when someone complains, or at an interval that needs to be reduced.
Add-on errors
i have also seen community members continuing to purchase add-ones which require certain options to be already in a base plan, without a system flagging them to prevent this customer support nightmare from happening.
In Province phone numbers not completing
Too many in-province calls not working due to new and expanded area codes, not being updated in system database. I'm assuming there is a list of area codes, grouped by province, that is searched for each phone call made on a provincial talk plan. This list should be updated as soon as the powers that be outside PM/Telus make announcements. At the minimum, a call from area code XYZ should not have any problems calling within the SAME AREA CODE. Area codes do not exist in multiple provinces.
This list of problems is long, but the frustration for community members, both old and new is tremendous. These issues NEED to be fix much quicker in the system backend. Moderators shouldn't be fixing them daily.
