What if you can trade 1GB of Lte for 2 GB of 3g( 3rd generation).
Also what if you can earn that.

Monthly to get 1 score of credits and assuming for 12 credits you will get 1gb of 3g data.
Or similar monthly get score credits and stack up those credits and exchange them for add-on.
Or maybe your family need some data and trade those credits to family members and they have the possibility to use it.
Or transfer Data to your family members if they are out:)

I actually like the idea, but not sure if it's even possible, or feasible

I doubt PM wants to start throttling some folks down to 3G speeds, to be honest.

@srlawren I'm sure that many people will like this and they will accept this.
When you're out of data everything sound better than paying extra.
Also I've notice that you won't see the forest because of the tree.
This idea is way too flexible. Even me i will love having 3 g. I travel a lot and i use monthly 1-2 gb for waze. I will love to trade some of my gigs in order to extend my data.

Every Carrie have a shared plan among family. Or joined. Where one can trade/ send or receive data, so public can have it to, a bit different but idea is the same.

@Ionut people may like it, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's going to get implmented.  I'm saying Public Mobile as a carrier is unlikely to want to start throttling people.  It has been suggested before as a way of providing usage beyond your full speed data amount and was rejected.  I don't think throttling nor family shared plans fits well with Public Mobile's keep-it-simple pre-paid no-frills model.  If you want shared data plans, there are plenty of carriers (as you mentioned) that offer this.

I left a provided who gave me unlimited data, however it was capped at X GB full speed, then throttled to a stupidly slow speed for the rest of the prepaid period.  This drove me up the wall.  Throttling isn't good in my opinion.

Now, if we had something like what is offered in the US by Canadian company TING.com, I'd gladly support that 🙂
