For simplicity and consistency, it would be better if plan renewals always occurred on the same day of each month.

@SD08, I had to mention February.  We always like things to go in our favor.  So, February would be an unfavorable month.  This 5 day differential over a year's time amounts to bug dust.  Let's all imagine that Public Mobile operates on the Chinese lunar calendar which is 360 days in a year.

Fun fact... if you renew in mid to late December, the next renewal is the same date in March the following year.  This is because of the 28 days in February, and 31 days in each of December and January.

It also would work for renewal dates January  1st to 30th.

As for being essentially post paid, it isn’t at all a post paid system.  I needed to pay before I activated my plan.  As we all had to..  Public Mobile is most definitely prepaid.

@stonechucker

All service in Canada is paid in advance. Try signing up with Rogers/Bell/Telus. They bill you for the full month in advance. Only overages are postpaid 🙂

@sheytoon, yes they bill you right when you sign up, but you have 15-45 days to pay it.

Public Mobile wants your money, before they'll activate your service.  Totally different.
