Access to PM website if out of data

I would like all SIM cards that are still active to have the ability to access the Public Mobile website. This will allow users to top up data by using their own cellular connection if they do not have any other means to do so. I have used Tbaytel prepaid and they allow access to the website to purchase more data.

I'm thinking of a scenario such as being on the road and needing to use the phone GPS for a map.

Does *611 work in the situation you describe?

with a credit card on file, you can add funds in this method, even via vouchers.

Good info on the *611.   I don't know if most people would think of using their phone to buy more data when they usually go to the website to do so.

You do not need internet to use your phone as a GPS; I've used my phone overseas as a GPS map countless times with no data. GPS will know your last known point and eyeball where you are going (so if on a road it will follow the road). You only need internet to see traffic.

You can buy a data add on by calling 611, option 2, entering your 4 digit pin then pressing 2 then following the prompts.
