3G Data Add On.

With the new plans that were released today pushing the usage of the 3G Data - it would be good if PM could offer 3G Data Add On usage to be purchased.

Currently 1GB of 4G LTE Data AddOn is $30. Perhaps PM could offer 3-4 GB of 3G Data AddOn for the same price.

Good idea, and they are probably working on this, but first, it would be better to see how things go with the 3G speed.

Hey @pakmode, 

Data add-ons are available for 3G plans! The add-ons available to you in your self-serve will automatically match the data speed you have in your plan. When someone who's on a LTE plan purchases a data add-on, the data speed will be LTE. Same thing for the new 3G plans, if someone who's on a 3G plan purchases a data add-on, the data speed will be 3G. 

It's impossible for someone who's on a LTE plan to purchase a 3G data add-on, and vice versa 🙂

Not a bad idea if you go over your LTE.

I did notice that the 3G is VERY SLOW....I think they're saying up to 2.5 Mbps. Even Freedom could do that.

But would still be ok in a pinch, and I'd buy an add-on for sure if it was reasonably priced.

The LTE is now more than Rogers no more low data now   fido give you 5 hours of free data now

When I was on 3G with Wind, it was fine for me.  I didn't stream, and rarely hit my so called full data cap.  When it went to 128 Kbps, that was impossible to use.

3G isn't slow for me, it's just not as fast as LTE can be.

3 g  data speed with pm is about 6 to 8 Mbps . Yesterday on my 3 g phone . Why will it be 2 now  just like Chatr is locked at 3.   I mean Koodo is now cheaper than Pm now

@MarieHelene_L I think you may have missed the point:  why is it fair to charge the same $30/GB for the add-on when the speed is so different?  The plan data amounts are priced differently--why shouldn't the add-ons be as well?!
