Hi. I just recently bought a new iPhone 6s and noticed some time later that I can't send or recieve text messages without wifi. This is really strange because I can call, so I have service but my texts won't send unless I'm at home or using data. I was just wondering if it was a problem I could fix on my own, or if I'd have to bring it in to get it looked at. Thanks.

Do you turn on your data when you don't connect to WiFi? If you turn off your data, it will affect both sending and receiving iMessege.
If you don't need iMessage (which require data connection), you can turn iMessage OFF.
So your friends using iPhone can send you regular SMS.
But this also mean you will missed all those Bell and whistle iMessage offers. Haha

If resetting Network settings (under Cellular Data Network) does not fix it set up iPhone for messaging as follows:
Settings >> Messages >> iMessage on, Send as SMS on, MMS messaging on >> Send & Receive should show your PM number as well as your iCloud email address.
Messages only arriving while on wifi means they are only coming using data connection.
