Buying unlock S8 in the US, and using with public mobile. Will it work?

I have a friend in the US right now.

I'm considering switching a new phone, and kinda have my eyes to S8 atm.  Canadian price seems to be ridiculous high, so I was considering my friend buying it and bring it over.

This is what I'm considering:

I checked with:

and it gave me a yellow checkmark, which says "Device is compatible with some of the network carriers frequencies. It may work.".  I rather be safe than sorry, so I'm here to ask
