This question cannot be accurately answered without at least knowing the city that your phone number is from.  While you're likely to be fine, there are numbers from some cities that cannot be brought over to Public Mobile.

@Pierre13

one thing to add, after you activated, check to confirm calls working.

Then do one more very important step, login My Account once more and make sure you receive the 2FA via text.  This is important or you won't be able to login My Account without moving the sim card from your box to a phone

and in future, when you need to login, you need to click "Didn't Receive code", then click Send email to redirect the 2FA code to email

I've never hearda that...what model is the zte you're considering to use. To activate a plan, you can also use someone else's cell. Download the app to a diff cell...then follow directions I provided above. Once you're done activating, delete the app from his cell.

adding..I did find the zte723 info...I doubt if it'll work with Public Mobile. See if someone you know has a Public Mobile account and try their sim in your zte...just to see if it'll work.

My ZTE is not a cell phone its just a box with a sim card I just plug in a regular phone at home.

@Pierre13

download the Public Mobile app to your new cell to create a new account, activate a new plan. You'll be given opportunity to add the Public Mobile sim...just make sure its new / never been used sim. I'd suggest taking a new cell number initially, then when account is up and running as expected..then initiate transfer of old number from Rogers...just don't cancel your Rogers until transfer is successful.

added; please read the article that @slusagm provided. There's some important info and a device checker at the end of the read.

Thanks  This zte does 5G.  But my question is how to activate the sim card so I can put in this zte.

usually yes, but you should check if the phone is good for VoLTE here , if not, you won't be able to make voice calls next year when PM retires the 3G network
