looking at buying a Samsung Galaxy S21 5G phone.  Was not sure if international version will work on Public Mobile network or on Canadian networks in general.  Thank you for answering this question

Got a full model name? SM-??? It should work fine for LTE data/text and UMTS talk/text/data. You may not get volte and you may not get 5G. Telus are doing things non-standard, proprietary and even in concert with Samsung to limit these kinds of features. They really seem to want people to buy THEIR phones. It's going back to the dark ages of the old CDMA where they tightly controlled what devices could work on their networks. Rather than the more open, bring your own device, sure it'll work if it has the right frequencies etc ways of more recently. Seems no more.

While International phones do work on Canadian networks, I don't see there being any issues.  Unless the phone is locked to an International courier. Then you'd have to get it unlocked to be able to use in Canada.
