I have a question regarding "unlimited canada-wide talk".
My son has a public mobile phone from NB with the "unlimited canada-wide talk", he will in Nova Scotia calling me while I'm on vacation in the US (Dallas, Texas). I have a virgin mobile phone from NB.
Will we have difficulty communicating (incoming/outgoing) ?
The coverage in both areas seem fine.

He can't make calls to us numbers, right?
Correct. Your son does not have the right plan or add-on to call US number from Canada.

Your son can call you from Canada as you have a Canadian number.
You can receive you son's call and will be covered by your Virgin roaming plan.

Things should be fine as long as you have some US roaming add on/plan.
Your son will be calling a Canadian number while you are in USA.

It's all on you with your Virgin account.
