unable to text or call an iphone user on Telus plan

My wife uses an iphone and has a plan through Telus. If I call her, it goes straight to voice mail and doesn't ring. Texts I send are not received but I get her texts and calls ok. Checked that my number is not blocked, and this is the only contact I have issues with. If I can't resolve this, I will have to change my provider.

Something tripped up in that contact. geopublic nailed it. Maybe refrain from the threats to leave before exhausting all possibilities.

Good of you to find the problem.

@Richardb  From your description it sounds like a configuration issue with your wife's phone. Changing your provider will not resolve the problem.

This is weird. @Richardb it's the same company.  Is your wife the only one on the Telus network that you have this problem with?

Have your wife contact Telus for help. And you contact a moderatorhere and explain your problem.  Click on the green questionmark in the white circle at the bottom right of your screen.  This connects to the autobot Simon.  Type moderator and follow the prompts to get to one (CLICK on account specific question and human and submit a ticket)

@Richardb  Any chance you're NOT in her contacts list, on her phone, i.e. whenever she's called you, she simply dials your number? I ask, because I just saw a blurb online, in which there's apparently a setting to send calls from people not in your contact list, directly to voicemail.

@Richardb  Can we assume, based what you said, that you're not also using an iPhone?

Check your wife’s blacklist on her phone (if available). Maybe she added your number by mistake.

Or maybe it wasn't a mistake! 😉  🤣   Sorry, couldn't help myself....

It only happens from my phone, anyone else can call or text her, no it's not in flight mode, and i'm the only one on public mobile.

Check your wife’s blacklist on her phone (if available). Maybe she added your number by mistake.

@Richardb is this happening to all your wife's calls? Or only the ones she receives from you? Could her phone be set to flight mode? Or to foward calls directly to voicemail?
