I have got a new smart phone from ebay. uhans note 4. SIM card seems to be working but signal is block. I cannot dial out or received any call nor texting. I had checked IMEI and here is the message: We are unable to find your device. Please ensure you have entered the correct IMEI before contacting the manufacturer or place of purchase for more information.
Your device has not been reported as lost or stolen.

Is my device good for public mobility?

Thanks!

@garycwchan unfortunately I agree with the others, this phone is an extremely poor match for Public Mobile.

One interesting note in the spec sheet @Luddite linked:  they are calling a 5.5" device a phablet.  That might have been the case in 2012, but certianly not today!

@garycwchan I have two references for you to examine:

a) your phone: https://www.pdevice.com/product/uhans-note-4-price-specs

b) the Telus/PM networks: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telus_Mobility

These suggest your phone will have very limited LTE service and no 3G. The lack of 3G means you will be unable to call or text.

Sorry, but you will need a different unlocked phone. For good service be sure it can connect to 3G bands 2 and 5; and to LTE band 4. 3G will also provide data service, but LTE is only data.

Hi @garycwchan!

I think your phone is not compatible with Public Mobile.

It lacks the 3g Bands 850, 1900.. which are essential for making/receiving phone calls on the PM network.

@garycwchan

The following website is a great resource for determining if your phone has the correct frequencies to work with PM.
