sim card activation

I've been trying to activate my sim card for two days.  I'm stuck with the cursor spinning on the payment page.  I was told "it could take up to two hours".  What's going on?

@jvanderholt  If it's been that long just hit the refresh button. Insert the sim card in your device to see if the card has been activated and if you can connect to Public's network. If yes, that means you card has been activated. Try accessing your selfserve account online or dial *611 from your phone to check on your status.

 

If your card hasn't been activated wait 50 minutes so that the previous session lock can clear and try your activation again.

 

If you still can't activate the you need to contact Public Mobile for help.

 

To submit a ticket to the Moderator Team, please start a conversation with the Public's virtual assistant, SIMon by clicking  here or the icon (bottom right of your screen).

If you are still having problems contacting Public Mobile then click here. The link  sends you to the private message function and adds the moderator team as recipient for a private message. You just have to enter a title and text in the body of the message describing the problem and post. The message will be received by the moderator team and they will respond to it. You will receive the response in your private message inbox.

Please note that account verification may be required when contacting the Moderator Team

@jvanderholt Did you try another device/browser? Also disable any adblockers if you have them.

When you activate your card will be billed right away, I signed up for email verification on my credit card everytime there is a transaction and it came through right away.

 

The second thing to look into is your phone unlocked?

@jvanderholt if you are past the payment page have you tried your sim to see if you have service? if so create your self serve account

Clearing your cache/cookies/different browser should help as suggested by @JoyLuck .  The PM website can be quite glitchy at times.  Try and wait an hour between unsuccessful attempts too, but always with a clear browser.

Check your credit card to see if you were charged.  Try using a different browser and incognito mode.  Clear your cache and cookies then reboot and try again.

@jvanderholt you can try using incognito mode for chrome. it seems to work better when using self serve

Clear your browser cache/history/cookies. Close browser and open a new browser in incognito/private mode. Also, you can try a different browser.

 

Check to see if the payment went through and if it has is your phone working.
