can I set up a new account if I don't have a self-serve account yet and not lose my phone number? I have sent messages to the moderator team about my account and have not received any responses

@gloria13 Public Mobile sim are tri-punch meaning they are three in on cards as per this picture:
Say maybe you didn't need the new SIm card? If you account was setup at a store location you need to setup an account just click here for more info.
If you still can't setup your account click here to notify Public Mobile.
The link sends you to the private message function and adds the moderator team as recipient for a private message. You just have to enter a title and text in the body of the message describing the problem and post. The message will be received by the moderator team and they will respond to it. You will receive the response in your private message inbox.
Moderator Hours: Monday-Friday 8 am(Eastern) to 12 am(Eastern) and Saturday, and Sunday from 8 am(Eastern) to 10 pm(Eastern).

@gloria13 , moderator team response time is longer than normal at the moment. They will get back to you at the earliest. Please remain patient.
Just to clarify, did got sign up with a retail partner and need to create an online account? The number you are concerned about losing, has it been ported to Public Mobile? Is it with a competing brand?

@gloria13 Not sure I understand your question. If you activate a new PM sim card online part of the activation process is setting up an account. If you do the activation in store then you can setup the selfserve account at a later time.

You can create a new account with new activation and port your number to PM.
