my wife's cell number of xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx was ported from Telus to Public Mobile in 2022. The account was suspended for 4 months when we were out of the country. I have been trying to recoup this cell number xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx for over 2 years to no avail. I called Telus and they advised me that they DON'T have access with this number. The cell number is currently not in use and I would like to renew this old number (xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) with Public Mobile under a $30 plan. Please, please let me know if this is possible >

I removed the phone number from the first post, but it is a Telus Mobility phone number.

If Telus don’t have control of the number. That means that the number didn’t belong to Telus/Koodo/PM.
You need to go to the carrier you originally got the number from. You need to contact them and open the account with them if you want the number. Then port over to PM at a later date.

We did call the number and it is NOT Active. Telus advised us they don't have control of the number xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
Not sure what is your suggestion.

@JohnCheung1966 When an account is suspended more then 90 days the account closes automatically and you need to create new account with new sim and new email also . the number goes back to the original carrier the number came from . So if that was Telus there’s a slight chance support can help if first start by calling the number to ensure somone else dosent already have it .
