plan is $25 one, texting works, phone calls sometimes work, voicemail never works

I had a Motorola E6 that went downhill so I replaced it with a Samsung A51. I swapped the sim card and checked the APN? numbers with the website and they check out. I have the $25 plan- unlimited calling and texting canada wide. I have also accepted the christmas data addon and international minutes. However, I have problems still

I can text just fine with everyone.

I can call my sister all the time and recieve calls back

I can receive calls from my mom but can't always call her back- it won't ring or it'll say i've run out of minutes but sometimes it works

I can't call my uncle at all but will get calls back

I can't use voicemail as it says I've run out of minutes and gives me the option to buy more minutes- I thought I had unlimited canada wide

So I double checked APN, and locked my sim card then unlocked as per other suggestions here.

I also looked through my history and I have had a number of outgoing texts to Turkey....why turkey and who? I don't know anyone there! the number apparently is 900080006200

Thanks for the update @gdeboer ! Followups like this help others here help others in the future.

Interesting your voicemail access number wasn't updated automatically along with the switch to the new sim card. Usually it's programmed to a specific access number, of which I have collected a list you might want to use or note for future use:

Just in case anyone else has this problem.....

did everything people suggested....still didn't work...... talked to a mod? and they reset the connection which also didn't work.......However, inability to call people kinda just fixed itself about a few days after I went through everything else suggested.

Turns out somehow the number for voicemail was changed. Calling your own number will bring you to voicemail. Mine was set to 1111 as voicemail but this wasn't valid. Changing the settings to my own number and calling that solved the last of my problems.

Fingers crossed this will help someone later on

Is your phone originally from Verizon Wireless originally by chance? Apparently 900080006200 is used by their visual voicemail app... Maybe you just need to disable anything verizon voicmail related...  Texts are free so it doesn't cost you anything either way, just less noise in your usage log I guess:

And you Moto phone was able to call these contacts without a glitch.

Can you try another SIM into this A51 to test. Or try PM SIM in another phone.

Just narrowing down the problem is with phone device or SIM/service.

Oh, and I haven't had any problems calling people not in my contact list. No problems calling the auto shop, etc.

Just seems so weird. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
