If you trying to get a new number then PM will give you some options. It will also allow you to check other preferable numbers are available or not. 

And in case if you want to use your old number form some other operator then you need to port it to PM.

@hiheard50 Sort of. You select your province and city/area and the system gives you a list of 5 numbers to choose from. You can refresh that list several times to get 5 more.

Or you can click on one of the numbers and try to enter the last 4 digits you want. If they are available, you may actually be able to PICK your number.

@hiheard50 when you activate you can scroll thru the numbers and pick one. I believe you can check numbers to see if they're available but that's just on activation!
