I just signed my son up for this service. His phone number is considered long distance when calling him. I was not expecting that. Now his friends need to pay a long distance charge when calling him. Is there any way around this? Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. I live in a major centre so can get a local number. I just messed up when signing up.

@NicoleS where I live public mobile has no local numbers. It's like 45 minutes to 1 place and 55 minutes to the other side and those numbers are long distance from my calling area. Only work around is get a local number thru bell/Telus / Rogers and then port it to his account

Thank you! That was easy! I must have put in the wrong number when I first signed up.
