Hey, I just joined and was having the same issue. Eventually I got it to receive pic messages, but still couldn't send. I could get on the internet though so I knew my data and everything was working. Anyways, I discovered that I could send pic messages if I used Google Photos to attach pics to messages, but not the native album app on my Xperia. I also downloaded a different messaging app. Hope this helps.

I had to factory reset the LG G5 to get the data to work. You need to back up your data first, LG has a decent backup utility. If you have a microSD card, you can put that on the phone, and then back up your data onto the microSD card.
The good news is after the reset, the phone just works. The APN settings automaticly updated.

@Willsj71, I see you have pap in authentication type field. This field should be left blank. Public Mobile does not use password authentication protocol. Also the APN type field should be default, support, mms. Usually APN type field with mms only is associated with having a separate APN for mms which was something that Wind Mobile used. As already mentioned, LG phones have a network reset function which should be used to clear past network settings to avoid conflict when new settings are specified.

And then the easy one of course...regardless of presence of data plan you need cell data mode on.

Confirming steps are
1) network settings reset
2) factory reset

Do you have a data plan? Is it working?
Ensure you have the correct APN settings by visiting https://apn-canada.gishan.net/. Select the brand and model of your phone, scroll down the page and then select Public Mobile. After doing so, you will be provided with the exact APNs required for your phone on our network.
For some LG phones, you do have to do a factory reset to get data/MMS working. You could try a network reset first though.

Welcome to PM. Who was your previous provider? Have you tried a network reset on the phone?
