invalid sim card

My android just recently completed a software update, and since then has said "invalid sim card" with no working data. I've tried restarting my phone twice and also tried popping out the sim card and putting it back in. Still no data. Help?

@Lekter , here is pretty exhaustive checklist to try out.  Some of the items you might have already tried.

This sounds to be possibly an issue with the software.  Supprort for such an issue with be provided by the phone manufacturer. Which phone model is it? Ohters might have the same model and have experienced the same issue.

As the custoemr has said that this has only been an issue since a software update, do you have any suggest of what a customer support agent would be able to do for this customer?

Invalid sim card comes first. Data next. Which is it?

What phone are we talking about?

you want to go into settings then connections and if you have sim card option click that make sure its listed then go in connections and network and make sure public mobile is selected.

How is CSA going to fix this for the OP @Alexandf if you don't even know if this a phone issue? You may be spinning them in circles.

@Lekter    Are you able to try your SIM in another compatible phone first?  This could rule out if the software update is the issue or not.

@Lekter

Try powering off your phone and turn back on after 2 minutes rather than restarting your phone.
