Download the Public Mobile app yo your phone, pick a plan, purchase a Sim card follow the steps. You can choose a new number to start or port your number. Your previous account must be still open.  You wi need your account number.  They will send you a text to confirm the port which you must respond to within 90 minutes.

Telus owns PM

These are what you need to do

• make sure your old  account is still active
• get the  account number
• download PM app and subscribe. 
• You will be asked about phone number after payment step.  Enter the phone number and Rogers account number
• Rogers will send you a sms text, reply yes within 90 mins
• then wait till your old provider sim no longer work, you can put your PM sim card in the phone and all done
