forwarding a number from freedom

Hey everyone - I just activated my public mobile account and set up the number forwarding.   I inputted the information about 15 minutes ago.  How long does it take for PM to port my number from freedom mobile?

so yeah, lol. i was sitting here for 2 hours texting people on my freedom number wondering why i wasnt getting any replies.   only to find out that my number transferred over fine at some point before those two hours.  lol.  YAY!   late night dumbness hitting me!  Thanks all for your help and support.

@yourtimetoshine, it verry well might.  Based on the personal experiences of @will13am, If it doesn't go through in the next couple of hours, I would send a private message to the moderators team and let them know about the spelling mistake.  They should be able to push it through (in the morning) for you if needed.  They're back on-line at 9am (ET)

noticed freedom misspelled last name...   i guess this will cause an issue with porting wont it.

From my own experience and colleagues from work, Freedom (Wind) Mobile ports take 30 minutes.  This is based on about a dozen sample points.

@yourtimetoshine It can take somewhere between a few mins to a few hours as long as you correctly submitted the required information. When it successfully ports in your number, your FM sim will not work and you will receive a text on your PM sim that porting has been completed.

@yourtimetoshine, number porting can take anywhere from a few minutes to 24 hours.  It all depends on the source (cell carrier, landline, VOIP line).  Usually, if there are no hiccups, a cell port is relatively quick.

Hopefully your Freedom account is still active.  Otherwise the port is guaranteed to fail.
