Public Mobile offers both hard sim and esim....the question becomes what does you cell take ? Some take hard sim only and some take either. If you need esim...once you download the Public Mobile app to your cell, you'll create a new account, select to buy either esim or hard sim (whatever works in your cell)...then select your desired plan. Once it up and running as expected, then you can initiate transfer of old number to your new Public Mobile account...just don't cancel your old plan until transfer is successful.
