You are correct, apologies for that confusion. I did DM the cs team but haven’t heard back in the last few hours.

Opps, you are correct. My brain was scrambled today between postpaid and prepaid plans. Thanks

@caperguy I think it was the mention of post pay not pre-pay that may have caused some confusion because I think you mean the activation failed after you had paid rather than before you paid whereas how you transfer a number to PM from Koodo depends on whether your Koodo account was postpaid or prepaid. Have you tried sending a private message to customer support as suggested or are you trying to continue with the chatbot?

Unfortunately the workflow via the app didn't mention that, hence I selected transfer number. It was post that it failed. I waited on the port # for an hour with no answer so I'm at a standstill waiting on a cs_agent to respond with next steps.

@BKNS27 ". If it was a prepaid plan, they don’t need a temporary number"
From the PM number porting page:
"If you wish to transfer an existing numbering from Koodo Prepaid, you will need to first complete your activation with a new number, then reach out to our Customer Support Agents here in order to transfer your existing number to Public Mobile"

OP indicated that they have a Koodo postpaid plan. If it was a prepaid plan, they don’t need a temporary number but will need to contact a CS_Agent if they replied with YES to the text or run into porting issues.

@BKNS27 "Since it is a postpaid plan. You will need to pick a temporary number until porting is completed then contact a CS _Agent"
Should be the other way around, it's prepaid that needs an agent.

You should get the text right away with the Koodo SIM in your phone.
Since it is a postpaid plan. You will need to pick a temporary number until porting is completed then contact a CS _Agent to replace the temporary number with your old number at:

Is this Koodo pre paid like PM or post paid . If pre paid you need support to help you transfer the number . If post paid using the IMEI could be the issue it’s not needed ignore IMEI @caperme @and just give Koodo account number . I’ll send you the porting team phone number private message and they ca re trigger the port request for you
send a private message To CS_Agents

adding the confirmation text should be almost immediately and you have 90 mins to reply YES to the text @caperguy

Thanks for clarification you just waited and eventually the sms arrived? How long did it take approximately?

I encounter the same issue. I used e-sim, but able to log back into PM. So just keep your Koodoo sim connected, wait till you receive the account transfer SMS, an reply YES.
