eSIM

How come on the PM website after I log in it shows me both eSIM and SIM to purchase but it prompts me to use the "app" and the "pay is grayed out so you can't proceed BUT on the app it only shows SIM as the only option. So you can't buy a eSIM on the app. Seems like which came 1st - the chicken or the egg?

Years ago I went to a Telus store and the rep had a really snotty attitude when I was trying to buy a SIM card, loudly proclaiming "that there was no refunds on SIMs". He had "eyeballed" my phone and had already made up his mind. Needless to say everything worked perfectly fine.

@Tim3tripp3r1 If you are buying a new phone that supports esim you would download it to that new phone when you are ready to use it. There is no such thing as a "physical" esim card. It is software downloaded to your phone. It is the same for Telus, Bell, Rogers etc etc etc. Not sure what the point of the snotty Telus guy story is.

what phone do you have?  It could be that your phone is not compatible with eSIM

It DOES NOT GIVE ME THE OPTION TO BUY A eSIM. It ONLY gives me the $10 physical SIM option!

@Tim3tripp3r1 it needs the app because the app will help to install the eSIM as well

To buy new eSIM, first, download the app on your new phone. Click Account from the bottom, then click Purchase SIM Card and then select eSIM on the following screen
